Meeting Baby Jackson

Our oldest daughter Rachel and her husband had a baby on March 1st, 2017.  Here is a picture of baby Jackson with John when he was just a day or two old.  He is a cutie!
A few days ago the rest of us finally got to meet Jackson.  He sure has grown in three months!  He is a cute little chunk!

It was nice visiting with Rachel and Anna too.  It's great that the two of them live so close
to each other.

Tonight Adam graduated with his BS in Mechanical Engineering.  We are so proud of him!

After the ceremony we went out to eat at Denny's.

Family Pictures

Uncle Jack came over to visit us at Aunt Tanya's house.  It was nice spending time with him.

It is so good to see Adam!  I sure missed him.  We all did.  Tomorrow he graduates with his mechanical engineering degree.  I am excited to see his ceremony.

Our Misty

We used to have a dog named Misty.  We loved her very much.  When my Aunt Tanya's dog died and we realized that she and Lexi didn't like each other very much, we gave Misty back to our Aunt.  It has been a treat seeing her again.    Here is Misty entertaining us.

P.S.  Julia has been blogging way more than me.  You can check out how the joint bridal shower went.  Faith Through Everything

Happy Birthday Sveta!

We celebrated Sveta's 20th birthday.  It was a special day just for her!  She had two of her friends over-- Kaitlin and Addison!
They swam!

They danced!
They talked!
They ate!
Sveta asked for chocolate pies instead of birthday cake.
They were delicious!

Sveta got many cards and presents.
New Jesus shoes!

Happy birthday to our Sveta!  We could not be more proud of her!

Early Happy Father's Day

Our lives could not be more crazy.  Yet, the kids still rocked!  With an upcoming road trip to California that is now in full swing, they decided to celebrate their Dad a week and a half early.
Here is Julia and Sveta making cards with the little boys.
John woke up to breakfast, cards, gifts, and a big banner for Father's Day.  It was really nice!

The kids enjoyed watching their Dad open his gifts which included a box of one
of his favorite cereals.

One of the gifts not pictured was from Julia and Nolan.  They went out earlier in the day to dig up a huge bucket of worms to take John out fishing.  Then after church they all went fishing while I stayed home and cooked my hubby's favorite meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and creamed corn.

It was an awesome Father's Day!  I feel very blessed to have such a great husband who is an amazing father to our kids.

Grandparent Time

John's parents came out for a visit a few weeks ago.  It was the first time visiting us since we moved to Texas. My Mom came out too.  We all went to Andrew's baseball awards banquet.
The next day there was a storm that knocked out our power.  So we all went out for lunch.

Grandma playing games with Jonny.
Once we learned that the power could be out for days, we decided to ditch the candles and get a generator.  Before that Natalie had swiped at some of the candles and knocked wax all over the floor and one of the bar stools.  Thankfully she didn't get hurt, but the wax mess took forever to clean up.
